The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rene Pinet can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Uncle Rene was a kind, sweet and generous man who would give you the shirt of his back. The world lost a good soul she we lost Rene. I remember being excited for our trips to Canmore and watching old war movies and westerns. When I watch those movies now I will always think of Rene. I remember Uncle Rene and Aunty Terry's wedding and what a good time it was to have all our family together for such a joyous occasion. Even during the past few years as Uncle Rene battled cancer he had a smile and was always willing to tell a story about back in his mining days, talk hockey, cars, construction, or anything really. That was Rene- a man who could talk and be friendly with anyone and who brought happiness and joy wherever he went. I may even have to cheer a little for the Hab's now that he is not here to do so. Uncle rene you will be missed.
