Carl Malenfant Monsieur Malenfant was a very passionate man. He found something he liked and shared that passion with everyone. I will never forget his smile. It lit up his face and all of his surroundings within seconds. He was almost always smiling, and he also liked to tease us ALL THE TIME! That and his jokes… he made me laugh all the time and he always seemed to know what to say. M. Malenfant was always willing to help out if his students had a question. He also helped me a lot with my exchange. I feel so lucky to have had him to talk to. He told me a little about the area and the school before telling me that I would have a great time and to never give up because it would be a hard four months. Here I sit now, in France, and he couldn’t have been more right – it has been a hard but an incredible experience as well. I am sad that I’ll never be able to tell him about all my experiences. Carl Malenfant was truly a great man and a wonderful asset to the community. I was very shocked to hear of his passing and it hit me hard. I can only imagine how his close friends and family are feeling. My thoughts and heart go out to you. He will be incredibly missed by many. I will miss his smile and his amazing personality.
