Condolence: My deepest condolences to Carl's family and friends, students and colleagues. He will be greatly missed. I am so saddened by this loss. My children enjoyed having Carl as their teacher at Thurber, and had many stories of his antics during the France exchange.
A huge hole is left in many hearts with his passing.

Condolence: Carl Malenfant

Monsieur Malenfant was a very passionate man. He found something he liked and shared that passion with everyone.

I will never forget his smile. It lit up his face and all of his surroundings within seconds. He was almost always smiling, and he also liked to tease us ALL THE TIME! That and his jokes… he made me laugh all the time and he always seemed to know what to say.

M. Malenfant was always willing to help out if his students had a question. He also helped me a lot with my exchange. I feel so lucky to have had him to talk to. He told me a little about the area and the school before telling me that I would have a great time and to never give up because it would be a hard four months. Here I sit now, in France, and he couldn’t have been more right – it has been a hard but an incredible experience as well. I am sad that I’ll never be able to tell him about all my experiences.

Carl Malenfant was truly a great man and a wonderful asset to the community. I was very shocked to hear of his passing and it hit me hard. I can only imagine how his close friends and family are feeling. My thoughts and heart go out to you. He will be incredibly missed by many. I will miss his smile and his amazing personality.

Condolence: Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. ~Author Unknown.

Our thoughts are with Carl's family and friends in this time of grief. Carl's brilliant smile and outgoing disposition will remain forever etched in our memories.

Condolence: While I was by no means one of Carl's best and/or most engaged students (not at all his fault), I can honestly say that he was one of the most passionate and caring teachers I'd ever had.

I didn't see him much post-Thurber, but any of the random run-ins we'd had were always amicable, and we usually ended up talking for a few minutes if we had the time.

I was disheartened to learn of Carl's sudden passing, and it's clear he parted having left many a positive impression on people, myself included.

Rest in peace, Carl, and my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
