Ms. Jill Anne Reidy of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, passed away at the Centennial Centre in Ponoka, Alberta on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the age of 71 years. Jill was born on August 30, 1947 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She co owned a dry cleaners in Wainwright with her then husband, Jules Laberge before going back to work as a social worker. I worked with Jill for about five years. Got the job over a four H get together. We had many laughs! She was a caring compassionate lady who always looked out for others. She loved her dogs and family. She will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to you both. . Hold your memories close as they are precious.

Wouldn’t we all want to be remembered for living a life of empathy, sharing, giving, honoring, respecting and being the best we can be. That’s how you will be remembered Jill.

Words cannot even describe how saddened I am to read this. I'm so sorry for your loss Mike and Nikki. I worked for your mom in Wainwright at the FRC. But, that was after she came to a young mom's parenting class called Nobody's Perfect, back in 1994, that I was in. I was 17 with a new baby. She took over that young mom's group, and we met at the resource centre every week to talk about our lives, and have Jill mentor us through it. She believed in us. Each of us. With the backing of your mom, and her profound belief in me, I ended up teaching that course to new moms a few years later, and I ended up working for her. My career today,as a program manager for victim services is because of your mom. She was the mom, and cheer leader I needed. And she would always tell me , home is where the heart is. So no matter where I moved, I knew where my heart was. She was by far, the most influential person in my life. She made a difference in this world. By leaps and strides. She was a beautiful human being. The world isn't as bright without her here. And I see she suffered from Alzheimer's. I'm sorry. I can only imagine how hard that was on you both, and your families. By deepest, heartfelt condolences. She was so so loved by so many.

I worked with Jill for many years at Red Deer Motors, she was a such a kind and compassionate woman. She was very highly respected within her peers and LOVED by all of her customers. Jill always made an impact on anyone she helped, customer would come in or call specifically for her even after she had retired.
Jill spoke about her children with such respect and love. I can still picture the smile on her face when she told me she was going to be a grandmother, she was so happy and full of love and excitement.
Jill will be missed by many. Sending love and strength to her family.
