Obituary for Jill Anne Reidy

Ms. Jill Anne Reidy of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, passed away at the Centennial Centre in Ponoka, Alberta on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the age of 71 years. Jill was born on August 30, 1947 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She co owned a dry cleaners in Wainwright with her then husband, Jules Laberge before going back to work as a social worker. From there she owned and operated the Family Resource Centre in Wainwright for many years before moving to Sylvan Lake and working at Red Deer Motors. Jill had an impact on so many during her time running the Family Resource Centre and through out her life. She also had a very large passion for animals, especially dogs and horses, and was very involved in the local 4-H program with both of her kids. Her other passion she found later in life and that was riding her motor cycle anywhere and everywhere she could. Jill will be lovingly remembered by her son, Michael Laberge of Sylvan Lake, Alberta and her daughter, Nicole Laberge–Pike of Red Deer, Alberta. She will also be fondly remembered by her only granddaughter, Jordyn Pike of Red Deer, Alberta; her nephew, Robert 'Bob' Reidy of Winnipeg, Manitoba and her niece, Alison Reidy of Kelowna, British Columbia; and her many dear friends who are considered family. Jill was loved by all that knew her. Jill was predeceased by her parents, Elinor and Robert Reidy and a brother, Robert James ‘Jim’ Reidy.
