Dear John and boys, it is with deep sadness that I hear of the news of my dear friend’s passing. Cheryl was a bright light in so many lives. I first met Cheryl in 1979 when I visited my sister on Virago Crescent, Victoria, ,B.C. and we hav been friends ever since. Although the military brought us together it also drifted us apart but we always kept in touch. She was a dear friend. I will miss her visits and the phone chats. May she Rest In Peace. Alice Hogan

I am so sorry for your loss. Cheryl and I grew up together, since we were babies with lots of fun and laughter, there was never a dull moment. As adults living in different provinces we would go years without seeing each other, but kept in touch and were always able to pick up where we last left off, we had a special bond. A lifelong friendship is rare, I have lost one of my dearest friends whom I was very fond of. I will miss her greatly and she will be in my thoughts always. Please know how much I share your grief. It is a sad time for all of us. Gone to soon. Rest in peace my friend. Thank you for all the good times and memories. Until we will meet again . . . on the other side. Love, Maureen

Thank you Cheryl for a friendship that spanned 57 years. From the age of 6, we became friends and shared so many fun times and events in our lives. From constant sleep overs to each others house, to going to movies, shopping, boys, cars, especially your hard top monte carlo, my personal favorite, we shared details on everything. Even when you moved to Richmond because your dads business expanded rapidly, we still managed to be in contact. We most recently laughed about our first live concert at the age of 13...Deep Purple and Fleetwood Mac!! And how my long hair caught on fire from someone smoking, and you had to put it out with the sleeve of your coat. I would have done the same for you. That's what friends are for. And we laughed again at going to Michael Jackson Billie jean concert, even when we were both married, cause neither of our spouses wanted to go. Then we laughed again when discussing our children and how I only had one, but oh no, you had to totally beat me out at that one! So many years of cherished memories and as another milestone appeared, the love of our grandchildren. Cheryl, we could talk, laugh and cry about anything and everything. There could be months of absent contact and then five minutes in to our phone call, it went back to yesterday. Unconditional friendship. As I said to you..... I will miss those talks, and I will always remember you. Sleep tight my friend. Love Karen
