Obituary for Cheryl Ann Meir

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Cheryl Ann Meir (nee Follows) of Red Deer, Alberta, who passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the age of 63 years. Cheryl surrendered to her battle with cancer after a brave fight. She was born in Victoria, British Columbia on April 18, 1955 to parents, Jim and Sheila Follows. Cheryl was raised in Richmond, British Columbia, later returning to Victoria in her adult life. She would also move to Sooke and Abbotsford, British Columbia and finally to Red Deer, Alberta. Cheryl loved traveling, soap operas, sewing, knitting, reading (especially People Magazine), a good gab and sometimes a game of golf. Cheryl will be missed by all and a big Thank You to the Red Deer Palliative Care doctors and nurses. Cheryl will be lovingly remembered by her loving husband, John; her sons, Trevor, Bill (Carrie), Brandon (Vicky), Cory and Tyler; and her siblings, Chris, Anita, and Andrew, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Cheryl will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Brooklyn, Vince, Liam, Owen and Ethan; the loves of her life. Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Sheila and a son, Sam.
