Obituary for Wayne Martin Webb

Wayne Martin Webb
Wayne Martin ‘Boopy’ Webb, beloved husband and best friend of Jean Webb, of Red Deer passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the age of 58 years. He was the loving father to his daughter, Yolanda (Andrew) Connell of Red Deer, and to his two sons, Russell Webb of Red Deer and David (Brooke) Webb of Three Hills; and he was most loved by his grandchildren, Morgan and Evan Connell of Red Deer and Peyton, Dillan, and Knox Webb of Three Hills. He is also survived by his mother, Fran Webb of Innisfail, two sisters, Sheila (Barry) Boese and Karen (Mike) Reynolds, two brothers, Lyle (Cindy) Webb and Terry Webb, all of Three Hills; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his father, Bill Webb of Three Hills and a sister, Chery Conlin of Calgary. Wayne was born on August 2, 1958 in Three Hills Alberta. He lived in Three Hills most of his life and in 2013 moved with Jean to Red Deer. Wayne had many hobbies; which included his love for golf, camping and curling. He shared that passion with his family and could be found at the rink in the winter, and at some golf course, or campground in the summer. It was when he became a grandfather for the first time that he acquired his beloved nickname of Boopy. This was a name he cherished very much; as it was his own and would proudly tell anyone how he got his name. Wayne also worked for Renaissance/Husky Energy for twenty-six years. It was a profession he enjoyed and made many friends while employed there. We cannot express our gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at the Red Deer Cancer Centre and the staff at the Red Deer Hospice, along with Dr. Tarukandirwa and Dr. M. Odendaal. We have been so blessed for all you have done for Wayne and his family. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Wayne’s honor may be made directly to the Red Deer Cancer Centre, Attention: Jenny at 3942 – 50A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 4E7 or to the Red Deer Hospice at www.reddeerhospice.com.
