1927 – 2015
Mr. Fred Molander of Eckville, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the age of 88 years. Born on the family farm outside of Eckville to Henry and Charlotta Molander, Fred was the youngest child. He was well known in his community for his mechanical abilities and he also farmed. Fred married Frances Taylor on October 30, 1948. Fred will be lovingly remembered by his wife; Frances, his four daughters; Christine (Tim) Andres and her children, Michelle (Rob) Blackhurst and Clinton (Bonnie) Clark; daughter, Coral Lewis (Wes) and her children, Colin (Christina) Lewis, Brent Lewis (Michelle), Jordan (Shelley) Lewis and Kayla (Logan) Klatt; daughter, Penny (Brian) Dick and her children, Brad (Amber) Miller and Tammy (Ryan) Getschel; and daughter Rhonda (Jim) Lawless and her children, Tyler, Brayden and Kyle Lawless, as well as his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the Eckville Community Centre on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 2 p.m. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
