Obituary for Mildred Hans (Gregorwich)

It is with deep sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of Mrs. Mildred Hans of Red Deer, formerly of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, with her family by her side, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Mildred was born in Bellis, Alberta on December 16, 1936 to her parents, Joseph and Dominika Gregorwich. After leaving school, she worked at the University of Alberta Hospital as a Nurse’s aide in the Polio Ward. Mildred met the love of her life, Gordon Hans in 1954 and they were married June 29, 1956. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her son, Kelly Hans of Edmonton, Alberta, her daughter, Shauna (Terry) Matheson of Red Deer, her nieces, Jody Mounsef of Beaumont, Alberta, Irene (Herb) Howell of Edmonton, four grandchildren, Denver and Terra Matheson, Zachary and Brandon Hans, three great grandchildren, Jase Matheson, Cooper and Hudson Stelmack. She will also be remembered by her sister, Anna Pelech of Edmonton, Alberta, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was predeceased by a son, Dean Hans. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
