It is with tremendously heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mr. Paul Gordon Shockey on Friday, March 31, 2017, at the age of 49 years. Paul was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on February 22, 1968. He will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of twenty-four years, Jenifer, his daughter, Haileigh and her fiancé, Kelly Henrickson. He will also be sadly missed by his father, Cliff Shockey (Sylvie Francoeur); sister, Leighana Shockey; mother-in-law, Rita Dillon; brother-in-law, Patrick Dillon (Rochelle Laventure); his nephew, Ian Dillon (Angie Carson); and great nephew, Carson Dillon; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Paul was predeceased by his mother, Beth Adele Gentner and his father-in-law, James Dillon. Paul will also be remembered by his best fishing buddies, Jason Brown, and Kayle Toner. He will be sadly missed by his Schlumberger Family, “The Men in Blue”, as he spent most of his time with them. “Although I am not with you, I am all around you, in the crisp fall air, the early morning fog, the rainbow in the sky, the ripple of the waves, the wildlife in the fields.” by Jenifer Shockey. A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
