The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lorrie Mays can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: My family moved to Sylvan Lake when I was in grade 9. I went to school with Lorrie for the next 2 1/2 years. We weren't best friends, by any means, but it was a small town. Lorrie was my best friend's friend, but somehow it never translated! I moved away from Red Deer and returned 4 1/2 years ago. My husband and I shopped at Safeways regularly. It was there I ran into Lorrie again. We never socialized anywhere else, but I always enjoyed chatting with her. Once the store was shut down in Parkland Mall, we maybe saw her one more time. I miss our impromptu visits! I am sorry that I will not have the opportunity to see her again; sorry that we did not spend more time together. My condolences to all of the family.
