It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Margaret ‘Peggy’ (Pottle) Reece on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the age of 72 years, at Red Deer, Alberta. Mom was born in 1943 at Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. In 1962, she married a military man and traveled throughout Canada, Germany, and finally moved to Calgary, Alberta; where she lived for over forty years; until she moved to Penhold, Alberta, in 2014. In 1977, Mom started working for Inglis Appliances, until her retirement in 1998. In 1989, Mom married Douglas Reece, her ‘soul mate’, who predeceased her in 2006. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters; Wendy (Mike) Dodman and Susan Sampson; her six cherished grandchildren: Alex (Kaylie), Stefn (Stephanie), Melissa (James), Colin, Matthew, Bradley and her six great grandchildren: Teagean, Colby, Russell, Lexi, Kaiden and Mackenzie. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, Allan of Ottawa, Ontario and a sister-in-law, Mary Anne Reece of Phoenix, Arizona. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband, Douglas Reece in 2006. In Memory of Peggy’s Life, a gathering will be held at the Eden Brook Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 24223 Township Road 242, Calgary, Alberta, at a later date.
