Patricia Ann Thomson Obituary
Patricia Ann Thomson (nee Brooks) was born on November 17th 1932 in Ottawa Ontario. Pat and her family moved to Montreal in 1941 where she later met her husband Fred and were blessed with 3 children, Gary, Sandra and Glenn.
Pat’s greatest pleasure was entertaining Family and Friends. She loved planning gatherings and surrounding herself with laughter.
Pat spent many hours volunteering for events like the Winter Olympics, The Brier, Golf Tournaments and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She was very involved with her church and enjoyed singing in the choir.
For the last 5 years, Pat was living in Red Deer Alberta. She passed away peacefully at her home on November 6th with her son and daughter by her side.
Pat will be greatly missed by her son Gary (Colette) of Rockwood, Ontario and daughter Sandra (Grant) Hahn of Red Deer, Alberta. Pat was so proud of all her grandchildren Colin (Nichelle), Shawn, Kristin (Chad) Salyn, Allison (Chris) Clark, Travis and Brandon as well as her great grandchildren Manning, Hayley and Landon. Pat was predeceased by her husband Fred and her son Glenn.
Pat’s life will be celebrated at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer on Monday, November 9, 2015. Pat was a strong supporter of the Boys and Club of Canada and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. In memory of Pat and in lieu of flowers contributions to Pat’s favorite organizations can be made or feel free to donate to your favorite cause in memory of Pat.
