Mr. Bernard Leroy ‘Bernie’ Molleken passed away at Lacombe, Alberta on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the age of 78 years. Bernie was born on September 1, 1937 at Milestone, Saskatchewan, on the family farm to Maudie and John Molleken. He met his wife, Bette in Bengough, Saskatchewan and they were married on October 14, 1956. The couple had four children and moved to Eckville, Alberta in 1963; where they lived and raised their family. Bernie was known for his love of hockey, debating politics and his love of the outdoors; fishing, hunting, camping, spotting for his next big shot or fish. Bernie is survived by his wife, Bette and two children, Randy and Carolyn; his grandchildren, Brad, Stace, Chris, William, Alyssa, Cody, Chris, Amanda, Tasha and Kari-Anne and numerous great grandchildren. Bernie was predeceased by his parents, Maudie and John, a daughter, Cindy ‘Cyn’, a son, Robert ‘Bob’ and a sister, Merle. Bernie will be sadly missed by his family and many dear friends. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta.
