Obituary for Peter George Cade (Youth)

Peter George Cade (Youth)
It is with profound sadness, that we announce the passing of Peter at Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the age of 72 years. Peter came to Red Deer, Alberta from Madeley, England in 1970. He went to S.A.I.T. and received his Journeyman Welder’s Ticket and worked for various companies in Red Deer. He then started his own company PGC Fabricating and Welding. Peter was an avid soccer player and a huge Manchester United fan. He played for the Calgary Cougars, while attending S.A.I.T. Peter then played for the Red Deer Gasthaus and was an instrumental part of bringing the game he loved to Red Deer. He played in the Men’s League well into his forties. After hanging up his boots, he began coaching both Rebecca and Matthew’s competitive soccer teams. He then took up the other side of the game and began refereeing. Upon retirement, Peter enjoyed his trip to Tuscon, Arizona, a few rounds of golf, puttering around the garden, and spending many nights in the Man Cave with Fred and Ulla. But what he enjoyed the most, was sitting in his chair watching endless hours of soccer. Peter will be greatly missed by his wife of forty years, Pauline, his two children, Rebecca (Fred) and Matthew (Mazi), whom he loved dearly. He will also be sadly missed by his sister-in-law, Judy (Glen), niece, Lisa (Leo), and cousin, Phyllis and family, much loved sister, Shirley (Fred) and family and brother-in-law, Gerald and family. Peter was predeceased by his brother, Michael. On behalf of our family, we would like to thank Judy, Glen and Lisa for supporting us daily this last month, and all of our friends for sending messages and texts. It has meant the world to us during this difficult time. A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 35, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, September 25, 2015 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. Arrangements in care of Rhian Solecki, Funeral Director at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040.
