Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Viola Parke can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

an extrodinary woman

From the day i met Viola i called her MOM. She taught me how to play cards and NEVER let me win, or at least not on purpose. Eveytime i visited her she wanted me to take her to dollaramama (as she called it), and would always find something worth going for. She loved baseball and knew everyones name and kept track of evrything baseball Viola also took the time to teach me many things---patience, cooking (kouga, struedels, kniphla, stewed potatoes , stewed carrots, shupbuns,) with very little ingredients that would feed a family (and my family all had their favorites of these foods), she also taught me to knit , and gave me her tatting shuttle when i started to learn Tatting in Yuma Arizona, i will treasure the things she gave me forever. We had many long talks when we went shopping and sometimes just sitting on the couch when we couldn't sleep. Mom was always tough on me but no more than she expected of herself. If i know nothing else about Viola Frank-Parke she was one tough broad, and awfully independant , rarely sick , and always had an opinion , and God help anyone that got in her way, she always lived by her rules. She never had a parking ticket , or a speeding ticket , and was a 50+ year A.M.A. member which she was very proud of. when i asked her how she had driven all her life with no accidents and 50+ yrs of A.M.A. ---she simply said PATIENCE, NEVER GET IN A HURRY AND YOU WILL GET THERE SAFELY----AND I KNOW SHE HAS GOTTEN TO HEAVEN SAFELY TOO. I believe her and dad are having tea looking down on us and having a long talk about what has gone on in their family since dad went on before her. THANKYOU MOM , I WILL MISS YOU EVERYDAY
