Leon Daene Jewkes of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the age of 79 years. Leon very much enjoyed his retirement, travelling throughout Canada and the U.S.A. He loved fishing, boating and spending his time with family and friends. Leon will be lovingly remembered by his wife; Thea Jewkes, son; Jim (Joan), daughters; Sandie (Blair) and Deanna (Shane) and four grandchildren, as well as by his brother; Lynn (Bev), and sister; Nella (Ken). Also left with cherished memories of Leon are many nieces, nephews, extended family, close friends and two grand-dogs. Leon was predeceased by his parents; Cliff and Gladys Jewkes.
