The Last Fishing Trip

At Namur Lake, a fly in trophy lake, in the middle of June, Jim and Cleve caught a 20lb trout and some graylings. Back at camp they stashed them in Jims' blue coleman cooler and went back fishing. Returning back to camp they found a bear had walked right through their tent and broke into the cooler - stealing only the 20lb lake trout. The graylings were too little for anything else so they ate them. Using some fishing line they sewed the tent back together. Sharpened a picket and kept the fireaxe handy in case the bear came back. And back he came right through the tent while they were sleeping in it. Cleve grabbed the fireaxe and Jim the picket. Barefoot in 2 inches off snow they fought the 10 foot upright grizzly off. He finally gave up grabbed a bag of garbage and sauntered off. They kept the fire going with a pot of hot water to give the grizzly a bath. They took turns sleeping. They got weathered in and had to stay an extra day waiting on the plane to get back. Cleve wouldn't go fishing with Jim again.
