I remember so well when Gary was presenting to Council at budget time - prior to presentation of budget in Council Chambers! He was having trouble reading his financial statements - the print was too small! I happened to be a few years older than Gary and had come to grips with wearing reading glasses!!?! I always wear very bright reading glasses to match my outfits and I immediately offered Gary my glasses - they were red with white polka dots!! Everybody started laughing and it was a fun moment! When Gary left the City of Red Deer, I gave him those glasses complete with matching glasses case! he was a great sport - he will be missed! I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to work with him!
