It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Renee Enid Wostradowski at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the age of 60 years. Renee was born on January 1, 1959 in New Westminster, British Columbia. She grew up and attended school in Eston, Saskatchewan. After school, she worked in Eston. Here, her son, Jay was born in 1985. Renee later moved to Red Deer; where she met and married the love of her life, David Wostradowski. She started and ran a very successful business for twenty-two years. Renee loved her work, as it gave her the chance to interact and socialize with her many clients. She loved spending time tending her flowers and garden, always with her beloved dog, Barney, by her side. Renee enjoyed camping trips and the yearly winter get away, to tropical destinations. She fought the good fight, but could fight no more, and passed away peacefully, with her family and friends by her side. Renee will be deeply missed by her loving husband, David Wostradowski; her son, Jay Carriss of Airdie, Alberta and her granddaughter, Emma Carriss. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, Gary and her sisters, Debbie, Karen and Brenda. Renee was predeceased by her parents, Eric and Margorie Collinge and a sister, Gayle. A Memorial Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Renee’s honor may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer society at

Sincere condolences to the family. Renee was a
dear lady that was so kind and thoughtful. She was so supportive of me when I lost my husband a few months ago even though she had her own struggles, but that was Renee always putting someone else ahead of her. Sorry was not at memorial but want you to know how much she meant and love her dearly.

Renee was a gem. I’ve been a client for many years. We shared many stories and came to know the names of each others’ husbands, kids and grandchildren. I was in Renee’s office when I received the news of my second granddaughter’s birth. Through our chats, we came to know that our mothers had died of breast cancer the very same day. I was heartbroken to hear last year that Renee’s cancer had returned and so hoped she would beat it this time like she had before. To Renee’s family, I extend my sincere condolences. She was a genuine gal and I’m going to miss her.

Dearest David, Jay, Emma and Cylus

I send you so many hugs and love as I know you were not ready to give our dearest Renee up yet. I pray that you will find comfort and strength as your memories last you through another lifetime of Renee.
My dearest Renee, I am so very heartbroken that I was not able to be there to give you one last hug and tell you how much I love you, just one more time.
You were like a mother/big sister to us all for so many years, but mostly you were a very dear friend to share so many giggles and unfortunately a few tears with. You were a gal that “said what needed to be said” and “did what needed to be done”. So, until we meet again, please feel free to give us an occasional royal kick in the butt whenever you think we may need it.
Renee, I love you so very much and will miss you so very much and you will remain in my heart forever.

Love and Hugs,
Benedetta (and of course Darren too)
