Mr. Danny John Bodnaruk of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away after a brief illness, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the age of 65 years. Danny was fondly known to all his friends as ‘Dan the Pool man’. He was also a loyal and diehard fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers football team. Danny will be lovingly remembered by Gail and son Shawn, both of Red Deer; his mother, Anne Bodnaruk of Vernon, British Columbia, one brother, Wayne (Mariann) of Regina, Saskatchewan, his sister, Pam (Steve) Brown of Surrey, British Columbia and brother-in-law, John Pineau of Regina, Saskatchewan, as well as all his nieces and nephews. Danny was predeceased by his father, Nestor and a sister, Gail Pineau. A Celebration of Danny’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements in care of Rhian Solecki, Funeral Director at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040.
