Obituary for Timothy Hugh "Tim" Reid

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy Hugh ‘Tim’ Reid on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the age of 61 years. He was surrounded by his beloved wife and children. Tim was born in Fort Saint John, British Columbia. Living much of his life in Red Deer, he purchased an acreage in central Alberta to raise his family in 1993. He and his wife, Marilyn Zsigrai, met as young school kids, and again as colleagues, in the ‘90s. The young crush he once had for her blossomed into the love that would continue to grow. Tim was a proud father to all three of his children; his son, Davin Zsigrai (1986) and his daughters, Colby Johnson (1994), and Haleigh Reid (1996); and his grandson, Kai Cunningham (2016). He was proud of what he had, of his wife, his children, his grandson, and of his acreage, where his family could grow. Tim will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by all that knew him; his contagious laugh, his barefaced personality, and for the selfless kindness he shared. One of Tim’s first hobbies was cars and motors, but he transformed that hobby into gardening later in life (he was very proud of his Creeping Charlie plant for sure!). Memories of Tim will remain with all who loved him and all whom he loved. His mother, Jean; his brother, Loren; his sisters, Wynne, and Fawn; and all his nieces and nephews. All of whom are the people they are today for having this wonderful man in their life. A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 - 67A Street Red Deer, Alberta and Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the first responders and all the staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre for their quality care and compassion.
