Obituary for Theodor "Ted" Majeski

Mr. Theodor ‘Ted’ Majeski passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the age of 90 years. Ted was born on April 24, 1931 in Dinant, Alberta, to Adolf and Valerie Majeski. Ted was raised on the farm north of Camrose, Alberta, where his love of farming began. Ted began his career in the Oil and Gas Industry with White Rose, which is now Shell Canada. In 1961, he transferred to the Innisfail Gas Plant and moved his family to Red Deer, Alberta. He was a dedicated employee there until his retirement. Throughout these years in the oilfield, he continued with his love of farming and that carried on into his seventies. In 1953, Ted married Mabel Braaten and they were blessed with five children. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He worked hard but there was always time for family vacations and get togethers. He was an avid sports fan and followed the NHL faithfully. Ted will be dearly missed by all that knew him. He was kind, generous, he had a good sense of humour and he was a joy to be around. Ted will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Bev (Tom), Brenda (Stuart), Marilyn (Dwight) and Carol; his five grandchildren, Amie (Brandon), Ian (Jodi), Andre, Matthew (Amber) and Danielle (Colin); and his seven great grandchildren, Kaine, Jazlynn, Hayzlee, Axzel, Nixon, Presley and Brooklyn. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters, Olga and Marjorie as well as numerous relatives and dear friends. Ted was predeceased by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Mabel; his son, Brian; his parents, Adolf and Valerie; and five siblings. Ted’s family appreciated the wonderful care and the support Dad received from the staff at the West Park Lodge. A Private Family Funeral Service will be held. For those unable to attend Ted’s Funeral Service, it will be live streamed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Please click on the Live Stream button.
