Obituary for Sydney Daryll "Alan" Callihoo

1959 - 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mr. Sydney Alan Daryll Callihoo ‘Yogi’ ‘Alan’ ‘Syd’ on Friday, May 29, 2020 at the young age of 60 years. Syd was born on September 11, 1959 at Edmonton, Alberta. He moved many times throughout Western Canada, before settling in Eckville, Alberta, where he raised his family. Syd dedicated many years to working on the rigs, and was also considered a Jack of all Trades. He took great pride in his carpentry, mechanics, taking on any home improvement projects, and his ability to name any Muscle Car. Syd will be lovingly remembered by his pride and joy, his daughters, Kristina of Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Jennifer (Nolan) of Vancouver, British Columbia and Stephanie of Red Deer, Alberta; his granddaughter, Miika; his wife, Sandra; his mother, Phyllis Hull; his brothers, Willy, Dwayne, Kenny, Murray and Mark; his sisters, Teena (Mark), Nina (Jim) and his beloved dogs, Riggs and Harley. Syd was predeceased by his father, Albert Callihoo and his brothers, Dusty and Rocky Callihoo. Messages of Remembrance may be left for the family at www.facebook.com/groups/sydneycallihoo.
