Obituary for Shony Steven Swain
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Shony (Shawn) Steven Swain on
April 23, 2020. In his 28 years, Shawn possessed a musical soul: a guitar often in his hands,
sitting next to music tabs and picks. He was also a seeker of knowledge, driven, and generous
with his laughter. Above all else, Shawn was invested in his family. Shawn is survived by his
mother, Jennifer Swain, grandparents, Dave and Darlene LesStrange, brother, Joshua Swain-
Nielsen, sisters’ Stephanie Nielsen and Jade Swain, grandparents, Joanne and David MacDonald,
and his father, Steven LesStrange. A private, graveside burial will take place in Sylvan Lake.
