Obituary for Shaye Ann Landin

LANDIN, Shaye
1999 – 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Shaye Ann Landin on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the age of 21 years. Shaye was born on May 23, 1999 in Red Deer, Alberta, where she resided at the time of her passing. She was a beautiful, compassionate and loving young woman, who touched the hearts of many. Shaye had a great love of animals, and a passion for the outdoors. She enjoyed snowboarding, hiking, fishing, camping and quiet nights around the fire, with family and friends. After High School, she chose to pursue a career as an Addiction Counselor and Support Worker. Shaye, like many, had her own struggles and hoped to make a difference in the world, by helping others who faced similar challenges. Shaye was especially fond of her little sister, Mia. She frequently travelled to Montreal, to visit with Mia and Mia’s father, Roby Lefrancois. A special thank you goes to Shaye’s close friends, Nadine Posterski and Bradlee Gulak, for their support through the recent loss of Shaye’s close friend, Emilee. Shaye will be lovingly remembered by her parents, James Landin and Melissa Root (Jay); her brothers, Justin, Tracy, Colton, Lane; and her sisters, Shelby, Kaylee, and Mia. She will also be truly missed by Lane’s father, Marlon Ethier and her grandfathers, Gary Landin and Bruce Clark; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Shaye touched the lives of many, and there is now an emptiness in all of us, that will only be filled when we are someday reunited with this beautiful young lady. Rest in peace, Sissy, we love you so very much. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. Arrangements in care of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040.
