Obituary for Reta Isabel Tisdale

TISDALE, Reta
1924 - 2020
Mrs. Reta Isabel Tisdale (nee Parrott) of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away peacefully, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, January 6, 2020 at the age of 95 years. Reta was born at Tuxford, Saskatchewan. After the passing of her father in 1942, Reta then moved from the farm to Moose Jaw with her mother, until she passed in 1945. Reta was offered a job in Toronto working for a War Contracting Company building fighter planes, until the war ended. She then settled in Kindersley, living there until 2012. While in Kindersley, she worked at Baker's General Store and then for Canada Post, as Assistant Postmaster, until she married G. Orval Tisdale in 1954. After her family had grown, she went back to work at Baker's Store, Sunset Lodge and the Kindersley Inn. Reta will be dearly missed by son, Byron; granddaughter, Trina Lentz (Richard), great grandsons, Justice and Kadan; grandson, Cory Tisdale (Trina), great grandsons, Layne, Kurtis, Dylan and Hogan; granddaughter, Brandy Hansen (Cal), great grandson, Shane, great granddaughter, Hayden; granddaughter, Kayla Weber (Nathan) and great grandson, Jacob; son, Greg (Linda), granddaughter, Kandis Langvand (Derek), great grandson, Nash; granddaughter, Kristen Hall (Dallen). Reta was predeceased by her husband, Orval, daughter, Heather, parents, John and Hattie Parrott (nee Harrison), sisters, Teresa Pope (John), Cecelia Hackel (Bill) and a nephew, James Allan Pope. At Reta's request, there will be no Service. A Private Family Interment will take place at Kindersley, Saskatchewan, in the late spring.
