Raymond Joseph ‘Ray’ Cormier of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the age of 66 years. Ray followed in his father, Alfred’s footsteps and began a career lasting over forty years of traveling and working many construction and pipeline projects throughout Western Canada. While doing so, Ray was able to establish a lifetime of numerous working contacts and friends. Ray will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Sandra Pysar, his son, Corbin Cormier (Lisa) of Edmonton, Alberta, and one grandchild. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers, Gerald Cormier of Edmonton, Alberta and Randy Cormier of Surrey, British Columbia, his sisters, Judy Cormier (Wayne) and Marion Cormier (Sylvain), both of Edmonton, Alberta. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Maxine and his brothers, Larry and Dale. At Ray’s request, a Gathering will be held at a later date.
