Nancy was born on April 3, 1942 in Smoky Lake, Alberta. She grew up on the family homestead in Barich, Alberta, and eventually moved to Edmonton. Their trips included Greece, Italy, Mexico, China, Japan, Australia, Fiji, Hawaii, Ukraine, Nashville, Las Vegas, Florida and Phoenix. She cared for Andy at home, after he suffered a stroke, until his passing; with a strength and determination to make the best of every day, no matter the circumstances. While caring for Andy, she worked at the Great Canadian Bagel, until its closing. Nancy will always be remembered for having strength beyond compare, a selfless integrity, her timeless generosity and the greatest sense of humor. Her biggest joys always came from spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; teaching them how to make perogies or cabbage rolls, telling a good joke, and having a good laugh. She was always up for hosting a great party for family and friends. She loved gardening, golfing, and still worked full time, for the past fifteen years at the Cash Casino, until just before her passing.
