Mrs. Marylin Gomolchuk-Alford of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at Slave Lake, Alberta on Saturday March 18, 2023 at the age of 59 years. Marylin was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan to John and Sylvia Gomolchuk. Marylin’s childhood was spent moving around the prairies with her family. The family moved to Rocky Mountain House in 1969, where Marylin grew up and completed her schooling. Marylin enjoyed working in numerous careers, including restaurants, hotels, and she retired from the Rimbey and District Health Care Center in 2017. During her retirement, she travelled with Todd on the pipeline, where she became a second mom taking care of everyone on the crews. Marylin had a great love of her dogs, Ginger and Bella, as well as her cat, Tippy. Marylin will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Todd Alford, her daughter, Jessica Balazsi of Rimbey, Alberta; her parents, John and Sylvia Gomolchuk of Red Deer, Alberta; her siblings, Lance Gomolchuk of Yellowknife, N.W.T, Derrick Gomolchuk of Eckville, Alberta, Sheldon Gomolchuck of Buck Lake, Alberta, Simone Inglis of Carnwood, Alberta, and Juanita Lowe of Red Deer, Alberta; and her three grandchildren. Marylin was predeceased by her daughter, Jeanette Croteau, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
