Mrs. Margaret Sarah Dinnery of St. Albert, Alberta passed away at the Good Samaritan Care Center, Stony Plain, Alberta on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the age of 97 years. Margaret was born to John (Jack) and Rooney Murdoch at Eckville, Alberta on November 30, 1924. She was the only girl out of five children. Margaret was raised in the Evergreen farming community and had fond memories of attending Happy Hill School, leading to her profession of teaching for many years, which she loved and treasured. Margaret met John Dinnery while in Edmonton. They were married August 6, 1969, and resided in St. Albert, Alberta. Margaret loved all types of music, dancing, and needlework. She possessed a kind, heartfelt, and generous heart to all her family and friends, and was very accomplished for her time. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her family and close friends. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, John, her brothers, Andy, her twin, Jim, John, and Frank Murdoch. A Memorial Tea in Margaret’s honor will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at the Diamond Valley Cemetery, Diamond Valley Community, Alberta.
