Obituary for Luigino Remo "Louis" Vanin

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing away of Luigino Remo Vanin, on November 13, 2020 at his home in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 58. Lou was born in Sudbury, Ontario on June 19th 1962. He moved to Red Deer, Alberta as a young man and worked at a variety of jobs. Lou was comforted by his religious beliefs. He loved his children deeply and treasured his family and friends. Like his favourite animal the giraffe, Lou was a gentle giant who was compassionate to those who struggled in life. Lou was adventurous and enjoyed to drive and repair his truck. He also loved to watch hockey but mostly the Toronto Maple Leafs. Lou was passionate in his music and playing the drums. Lou surrounded himself in laughter and enjoyed a good time with family and friends. Although Lou struggled throughout his life he managed to persevere and look to the future. He had a good heart that eventually failed him. He was a beloved father to Vincent and Zorrain of Red Deer, Alberta. Will be deeply missed by brother Lorenzo Vanin of Barrie, Ontario and sister Rosanna Luzius-Vanin of London, Ontario. He was a loving uncle to Nicolas, Robbie, Michael(Courtney), Christina and Tania. He is sadly remembered by his family in Italy. He has been reunited with his father Nicole Pietro Vanin (1982) and his mother Regina (luccheta) Vanin (1986) The Celebration of Life will be held virtually on December 2 at 12 pm with Pastor Stu Krogman and Sargent Bud officiating. A public visitation will be held at Parkland Funeral home on December 2 starting at 1pm. Charitable donations can be made to Prostate Cancer Canada or Canadian Mental Health Association.
