Obituary for Len Paterson

PATERSON, Lennard
1933 – 2020
It is with great sadness and joy that we announce that Mr. Lennard ‘Len’ Paterson passed away peacefully, with his daughter, Lisa blessed to be able to be there, as he took his last journey, on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the age of 87 years. Sadness because we will miss him, and joy because he no longer suffers. Best of all we have the promise of being reunited. Sleep Well Dad. You have earned your rest, until your savior awakens you to rejoice with him. Len struggled the last four years with a rapid onset of dementia, and various other illnesses. Len was born in Saskatchewan, but spent the majority of his life in the Central Alberta Area, where he owned various businesses. His greatest joy was riding his motorcycle; and he was honored to become the first National President of the Christian Motorcycle Association of Canada. He spent many years forming CMA; and loved nothing better than the open road, wind on his face, and being able to share his faith along the way. Len spent many years volunteering at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, visiting with others in need and giving comfort. Len will be lovingly remembered by his wife, all his children, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, his great great grandchildren and his one remaining brother. Len was predeceased by his eldest infant son. Thank you to everyone for your kind words and prayers. Following Dad’s wishes, there will be no Memorial Service. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. Arrangements in care of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040.
