Obituary for Katrina Maria Leinweber

It is with great sadness that we announce Mrs. Katrina Maria Leinweber of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, after a brave fight against cancer, on Friday, April 3, 2020 at the age of 50 years. Katrina was born October 5, 1969 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She always put her family before herself, and her legacy will be the lessons of kindness and compassion that she taught us. Katrina loved her grandchildren and was their biggest supporter. She always attended their dance recitals, lacrosse games, and soccer games to cheer them on. A wonderful person has left this world. Although her spirit will always remain with us, the loss of her voice, smile and laughter will be missed. Her caring, comfort, generosity, and love for her family and friends will be cherished forever. Left to cherish her memory with broken hearts are her beloved husband of 31 years, Boe; her daughters, Nicole (Cassidy), Melissa (Clinton) and Kristen; and her grandchildren, Kaidyn and Hailie. She will also be sorrowfully missed by her father, her sister and four brothers; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Katrina was predeceased by her mother, Agnes Stabner and her father-in-law, Harvey Leinweber. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Dolan Kirstein, Dieneke Spronk, RN, Adele McKechnie, RN, Home Care Team, The Tom Baker Cancer Centre, and friends and family. Your kindness and compassion towards Katrina has been greatly appreciated. Out of concern for the Coronavirus pandemic, the Leinweber family is looking forward to celebrating the life of Katrina with her family and friends, at a later date when it is safe to do so. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared at www.parklandfuneralhome.com or Facebook on the Katrina Leinweber Memorial page.
