Obituary for Lynne Proudler

Mrs. Kathy Lynne Proudler (nee Sweeney) passed away suddenly, with her loving husband, Drew at her side, in Red Deer, Alberta on 2 June, 2022 at the young age of 49 years. Lynne was born on 14 April, 1973 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Known for her goofy demeanor and impish grin, Lynne moved to Alberta in 2013, where she wound up meeting, and marrying, Drew. Her love of dogs was apparent to all, and Ace and Rex were proof of that. It was not long before Lynne had a new hobby as Drew taught her to ride motorcycles. This led her to join the Canadian Army Veterans Motorcycle Unit in Red Deer, where she was active in her support for veterans and unit events. Lynne had a creative side that soon turned into her Country Décor business, outside of her normal workplace of Winners and Homesense. Lynne was extremely proud of her daughter, Chelsea, not least of which, was when she graduated RCMP Basic Training. Lynne will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Drew, her daughter, Chelsea (Jason), her parents, Jack Sweeney and Kathy Sweeney, and her sister, Wendy Doucette, as well as numerous other family members. Due to her family’s location, a Celebration of Life will held in both Nova Scotia, and Red Deer, Alberta, at a later date. If desired, Memorial Donations in Lynne’s honor may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at www.heartandstroke.ca. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. Arrangements in care of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040.
