Mrs. Kaisu Susanna Saari passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey, Alberta on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the age of 96 years. Kaisu was born on January 5, 1926 at Ilmajoki, Finland and immigrated to Canada in 1949, where she met and married Rudolph Saari. They farmed in the Eckville area until Rudolph passed away in 1982. It was later on that a move to the Town of Eckville made her life more comfortable; purchasing a house and then moving to the Eckville Villas and Manor; living independently for many years, where she enjoyed the friendly, helpful and compassionate staff at the Manor. Kaisu was always a busy person who loved gardening, knitting, crocheting, cooking, fishing and spending time with friends and family. Kaisu will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Alice (Jim) Stearns, and Irene Navos, her daughter-in-law, Eva Saari, her grandchildren, Teresa (Chris) Wigmore, Kristie (Jody) Short, Nick Navos, Kathleen (Michael) Lucero, and her great grandchildren, Brooke and Bailee (Tyson) Wigmore, Kierra (Justin) Meldrum, Rebecca Short and Kaleanna Nicholas; as well as all of her relatives near and far. Kaisu was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rudolph, a son, Kenneth, a grandson, Christian, her parents, Mike and Aili Rauman, and her brothers, John and Arne Rauman. At Kaisu’s request, no Funeral Service will be held. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
