Obituary for Justina Stella Kary (Nashchuk)

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Justina Stella Kary on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Justina was born February 26, 1935 in Haynes, Alberta, to John and Annie Nashchuk. She married Roy Kary of Carbon, Alberta on February 12, 1958. Roy and Justina moved to Mannville, Alberta in 1965 with their two daughters, Marie and Shelley. She worked at the Mannville Creamery for a few years before going to CIBC, where she spent fourteen years as a teller. Justina loved to travel and cook. She was a great camper, and she loved flowers and sitting on the deck visiting with friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Justina was a long time member of the Royal Purple. She worked in a bank in Rockford, Alberta and was a teller when the bank was robbed. Justina will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Roy; her daughter, Shelley (Philip Ripley) and son-in-law, Mel Barr; her grandchildren, Jamie Kary, Kelly (Lee) Roberts, Brett (Leisel) Barr and Karlee (Chris) McNabb and her great grandchildren, Karah, Tiberius, Huxley, Ellis, Vansen and Luca. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Mary (Emmett) Burke; as well as numerous family members and dear friends. Justina was predeceased by a daughter, Marie Barr; a sister, Helen Walper and a brother, William ‘Bill’ Nashchuk.
