Mrs. June Elaine O’Keefe passed away at the Red Deer Hospice, with family at her side, on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the age of 86 years. June was born on March 6, 1936 to Alvin and Hazel Langridge. Always a free spirit, Mom planned on being a missionary until she met the love of her life, Jack – whom she married and then raised their boisterous family with; Debra (John), Kathy (Richard), Michael (Julie), Maureen, Sheila (Bill), Thomas (Heather), Theresa (Michael) and her special daughter, Gayle. Mom wore many hats in life but her favourites were family matriarch to her children and many grandchildren. She was very excited when her direct fifth generation began. Her artists beret – an accomplished artist in many mediums. Mom was a free spirit until the end - always ready to try something new and looking for her next adventure. Now that spirit is released to fly freely with those that left before her – her beloved parents; her brother, Jack; her son, Mike; and numerous friends she gathered along the long happy road of life – especially her soul mate, Dad. Fly free and high – LOVE YOU.
