Jervis “Jerv “Clifton 72, passed away peacefully January 26th, 2022, in Red Deer, Alberta.

Originally from Regina, after high school he pursued culinary school in Ontario before realizing his real passion was horse racing. He returned to Regina to learn the craft of Harness Racing. Jerv was always known as the nicest guy in the room as is shown in the countless strong friendships that he cultivated over the years. He will be missed by many, but for those that knew him well, there is a profound sense of loss.

He specifically wanted to thank the Red Deer Home Care Palliative Care Team for their care and support to remain at home. Additionally, he wanted to thank the amazing team at the Red Deer Hospice Society for their care and compassion.

Jerv is predeceased by his parents Camilla and Richard Clifton (Regina) and sister Delaine Hetherington-Perkins (Calgary). He is survived by his loving partner (Ann) of Red Deer, brother Dale (Brenda) of Regina. Nephews and Nieces, Todd (Calgary), Brent (Jennifer) of Toronto, Shelley (Calgary), Nathan (Gray), Tyson and Rachelle all of Regina, and of course, his very special Aunt Vi of Toronto.

At his request there will be no funeral or service.

The family wants to thank the many friends and colleagues for the tributes and memories that they have shared. Your kind words have been a great comfort.
