Mrs. Iris Celis Dela Cruz passed away at the Red Deer Hospice, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the age of 49 years. Iris was born on June 12, 1971 in Butuan City, Philippines. She Traveled and lived in Brunei and Taiwan. In Taiwan, she met her husband Lauro Dela Cruz, and they got married on July 10, 1999. They would later on have two children, Mikaela Dela Cruz (18), and Heinrich Dela Cruz (10) and live in Canada. Iris was as strong a woman, as she was kind. She fought cancer twice and though the second battle was lost, the Lord had won the war and proved it by taking her home to rest.

Iris leaves to mourn her loving husband, Lauro Dela Cruz, her son, Heinrich Dela Cruz and her daughter, Mikaela Dela Cruz. Prayers will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with The Reverend Father Mirek Kostarzewski Celebrant.
