Obituary for Gerald Gordon Ross

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Gerald Gordon ‘Rusty’ Ross of Red Deer, Alberta, at home with his family on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the age of 71 years. Rusty was born on January 8, 1950 in the village of Waterton Park, Alberta. He stayed in that area for quite some time before moving to Pincher Creek. He attended College in Lethbridge with a major in chemistry and ended up working in a basement lab before saying he hated the work environment and quit to go on to an array of professions. Rusty was a kind, humble and generous man, always caring for others before himself. While growing up he was fascinated with the outdoors, thus he became a boy scout and was awarded multiple badges. As an adult he did various jobs from a chemist, road construction all over North America, mechanics and sales. Rusty was a true Jack-of-All-Trades handy man. When someone needed help, he was there to help. He truly had the best sight because he saw straight into people’s hearts. He will truly be missed and remembered by everybody he has touched. Rusty will be lovingly remembered by his children, Gerald Douglas Ross of Red Deer, Alberta, Gregory Andrew Hebel of Victoria, British Columbia and Erin Elizabeth Ross of Carbon, Alberta. Rusty will also be sadly missed by his five grand children and two sisters. Arrangements in care of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040.
