Obituary for George Marius Delaney Sr.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. George Delaney Sr. in Red Deer, Alberta on February 12, 2022 at the age of 76 years. George, otherwise known as ‘Batman’, was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, officially making Red Deer his home in his final years.
His kind hearted ways were infectious, along with the spirit of the wolf and the wisdom of the owl that were displayed often. The greatest gift George gave everyone, was that he believed in everyone equally and treated everyone with kindness.
George will be forever remembered by his loving wife Lorraine; his four sons, George Jr., Sean, Robert and Ronald; his four daughters Trish, Sandy, Cindy, and Tammy, along with thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
George will be deeply missed by all, and will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
If desired, Memorial Donations may be made in George’s memory directly to the Canadian Cancer Society at www.cancer.ca. A viewing will be held on February 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m at the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium. A Celebration of Life will be held for George at a later date.
