Obituary for Felix Pereira

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Felix Maurice Pereira of Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the age of 73 years. Felix was born and raised in Mombasa, Kenya, and graduated from Egerton Agricultural College in Njoro, Kenya. He worked at several Agricultural Research Stations, as a Farm Manager. From 1974 – 1977, Felix managed the demonstration farm at Bunda College of Agriculture in Lilongwe, Malawi. In 1977, he and the family immigrated to Canada, and settled in Red Deer, Alberta. He worked as a Power Engineer at Central Alberta Florists for over twenty years. He retired from Edon Property Management in 2015. Felix will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Helen; his children, Daryl (Roxanne) of Sturgeon County, Alberta and Sharon of Red Deer, Alberta and his five grandchildren, Caleb, Savanna, Brooklyn, Nolan, and Anjali. He will also be sadly missed by his two sisters, Dora and Nina. Felix was predeceased by his parents; a niece; and his brother, Nelson. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508 – 48A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with The Reverend Father Jan Sobkowicz Celebrant.
