Obituary for Eleonore Ursula Grafe (Schmidt)

Mrs. Eleonore Ursula Grafe, beloved wife of Mr. Arnold Grafe, passed away at Points West Living, Red Deer on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the age of 81 years.
We little knew that day, God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same, It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories; your love is still our Guide. And although we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, this chain will link again.
Eleonore was loved by so many and well known locally, Provincially and Federally for her involvement in Red Deer, working thirty-five years at Deer Home (Michener Center), St. John’s Ambulance Brigade, a Member of the Order of the Royal Purple, and especially with the Alberta Liberal Party and her love of the theatre, as a member of CAT, as well as a huge lover of her doggies and stray cats. Eleonore will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Arnold; her two daughters, Susan (Colin) Allison and Pamela (Mike) Mulhall; her four grandchildren, Aaron (Rachelle) Allison, Ariel Allison (Ryan Kopitoski), Kurt (Kayla) Mulhall and Troy (Joanne) Mulhall and her five great grandchildren, Eleonore, Thomas, Sebastien Allison, Arlo Mulhall and Mikale Kopitoski. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, Peter Schmidt and her sister, Christianne Jonas; as well as two nieces, one nephew and a multitude of friends. A Celebration of Eleonore’s Life will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 18 Selkirk Blvd., Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with The Reverend Don Hennig Officiating. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
