It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Eifiona Pritchard of Red Deer, formerly of Ponoka Alberta, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the age of 90 years. She was born on the family farm “Castell Bach”, Mynydd Nefyn, North Wales on June 30, 1930. On April 5, 1965, Eifiona embarked on a journey on her own, packing everything, leaving her family behind and marrying her future husband, Arthur, in Canada. She was a loving, caring and devoted wife and mother, who dedicated her life to her family, both here and abroad. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved daughters and their families; Edna and Darnell Jabs of Leduc, Alberta, Laura and Dean Rawlins of Red Deer, Alberta and her grandchildren, Ellen, Taylor (Ryan) Jabs of Leduc and Melissa and Tristyn of Red Deer; as well as many friends and relatives in North Wales. Eifiona was predeceased by her husband of fifty-five years, Arthur; her mother, Mary and her step-father, William, and a sister, Laura. A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
