Obituary for Earl Hutton

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing, with family at his side, after a hard fought battle with Lewy Body Dementia, of Mr. William ‘Earl’ Hutton of Red Deer, Alberta at Bethany CollegeSide, Red Deer on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the age of 82 years. Earl was born on September 23, 1938 in Clanwilliam, Manitoba, to William and Jessie Hutton. He was the second youngest of thirteen children. Earl and Eleanor moved to Hanna in 1968; where Earl became a Legion Member, taught Sunday School and was a Cubs and Scouts Leader. He started his employment at the Hanna Hospital as a Care Aide. Earl retired from the Hospital in 1979, and then retired from the Big Country Health Unit in 1994. In 1995, Eleanor and Earl moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta and then to Red Deer, Alberta in 2005; where they resided until Earl’s passing. Earl enjoyed spending his spare time gardening, planting flowers, reading, going for walks and loved spending his winter holidays in the sun, with Costa Rica being his favourite. Earl will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Eleanor; his daughter, Debbie-Lee Hutton; his granddaughter, Sarah (Anthony) Arcuri and his great grandson, Owen. Earl will also be sadly missed by his brother, Albert (Joan) Hutton of Edmonton, Alberta; as well as numerous family members and dear friends. Earl was predeceased by his parents, his three sisters and his eight brothers and a son-in-law, Tim Canty. A Memorial Service for Earl will be held at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
