Deborah (Debbie) Denise Wilson passed away peacefully at Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the age of 60 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a strong and true fighter.
Debbie started her career at Fletchers Fine Food Meat in 1985, which is now Olymel. Over the past 35 years she was hard working, dedicated, and well respected in the meat industry. Debbie enjoyed sports; as a young girl she was a star pitcher for the Forest Heights Girls Softball Team and continued playing with adult leagues. All those years of baseball would prepare her for the game of golf and achieve a hole-in-one!
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Peter) McCulley; her grandchildren, Sara (Lucas), and Byron (Jennifer); her great grandchildren, Aleeah, Noah, and Baby due this fall; her sister, Connie (Dennis) Simmons; her niece, Erica (Garret & Emily), her nephew Chris (Anvil); and her brother Gordon Lepore. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Doreen and Thomas Lepore; and her brother Wayne Lepore.
The Family would like to thank Dr. Peter Mah and all the staff at the Red Deer Hospice for the utmost compassionate care provided during Debbie’s end of life journey! In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice at www.reddeerhospice.com.
Debbie had a passion for golf; today is the first day of a lifetime membership at her favorite golf course!
