1966 – 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Clare Giegold, of Red Deer, Alberta, announces his sudden passing on Friday, February 17, 2023 at the age of 56 years. Clare left a lifetime of wonderful memories, and will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Mardie Giegold (Margaret Bascombe) of Red Deer, Alberta, his brother, Robin (Trudy) Giegold of Mundare, Alberta, his sisters, Heidi (Mike) Strome of Calgary, Alberta and Gretel (Rich) Firt of Red Deer. He will also be sadly missed by his nieces, Kira (Bryce) Herba, Jennifer (Kyle) Boskiv, and Samantha Giegold, his nephews, Christopher (Lisa) Pittman and Nathan Strome, his great nephews, Aiden Jackson and Benjamin Herba, and his great nieces, Myah Giegold and Lillian Herba, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Clare was predeceased by his father, Dieter Giegold, his grandparents, Alfred and Jean (nee Mackinnon) Bacsombe and his uncle, Roy Bascombe. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
