Obituary for Christopher Cody Engelmann

ENGELMANN, Christopher
1982 – 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mr. Christopher Cody Engelmann of Red Deer, Alberta, at home on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the age of 38 years. Christopher was born on April 13, 1982 in Red Deer Alberta. Christopher lived the majority of his life in Red Deer where he worked as a Plumber. Christopher was an avid hockey fan, and loved the Calgary Flames, but his favorite team was whatever team Ethan was on. He lived larger than life and had an infectious laugh. Christopher was very kind and generous with his love. He was always willing to help someone in need and would give you the shirt off of his back, if he thought that you needed it more than he did. He loved his kids, his family, his friends, his dog Zoey, golf, snowboarding and skiing. For the 2019/2020 hockey season Christopher volunteered with the Western Hockey League, as a penalty box Referee-his ideal job. He was looking forward to the 20/21 season. With all his enduring qualities, he struggled with Mental Health and Addiction Issues. He dreamed of becoming a counselor and helping others. He will be missed by all of us that had so much love for him. Christopher will be lovingly remembered by his Children, Kira, Ethan (their mother Katherine), Dex and step daughter Grace (their mother Jennifer), his parents, and Bernie (Jennifer) Engelmann, Dorene (Colin) Loughlin; his brothers Jared Engelmann (Maya and Kai), Kyle Engelmann his wife, Andrea, (Sophie and Ryker), Evan Loughlin and Zachary Walker; his sisters, Erica Loughlin (Aswin), Briana Loughlin (Elijah), Janelle Loughlin (Brad) and Cassidy Walker and his grandparents, Joe and Trudy Engelmann; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. Christopher also shared his love with Marci Swartz (Ethan,Carson) Mike Stuffco, Jeff Stuffco and Margaret Gaudet and their families. Our thanks go-out to the Doctor Bashii, Red Deer Regional Hospital, and the Community Agencies that were there for him in his darker days.
